The activities will be implemented as follows: The software upgrade will also address a known operational defect, further enhancing security, redundancy, and resiliency of existing DATA SERVICES, and enable the PGW platform to support future services. This notice is to inform you that Sierra Wireless will perform the first of three (3) maintenance activities to implement a software version upgrade across our geo-redundant Packet Gateway (PGW) platform. Sierra Wireless Global NOC will be actively monitoring and prepared to quickly engage our partner if any unexpected service impact is observed during the activity. The devices will then restart sessions on the other active platform. Some devices will experience a temporary session drop as existing data sessions will be gradually released Delete Session/PDP context will be sent towards the serving gateway (SGW) and Sierra Wireless’ packet gateway (PGW). Before upgrading each platform, the traffic will be moved to other active platform, and reactivated directly after upgrade is finished. Roaming services are handled by several platforms which increase the redundancy and robustness of the service.
